Mounting the Show in Mijas

About two years ago Clara Joris asked me, if I would like to exhibit with her at Casa Museo de Mijas, close to the town where she grew up. Back then I was living on Mallorca with no plan where to move next and I answered „Who knows, where I will be in two years…“

For about a year now Clara Joris, Ulrike Stolte an me are planning this exhibition in Mijas on the Costa del Sol in Spain. All three of us worked and exhibited sparately with eachother before, but this is our first show together.

Ulrike Stolte I met in 2008, when we exhibited in a group exposition at Dezembersalon in Berlin. We realised that we worked well together and so we went to participate in two artfairs in the next years – TEASE ART FAIR 2010 in Cologne and BERLINER KUNSTSALON 2011.

Clara Joris and me recently had an exhibition together at K55 in Heilbronn, Germany. We know eachother since 2007 and she helped me to find a studiospace when I moved back to Berlin after living on Mallorca for two years. Now we are both working at Erkelenzdamm in Kreuzberg.

Yesterday we arrived after a lot of trouble with busses, trains, taxis, planes – more trains and busses and taxis – in Fuengirola… and today we mounted the exhibition and it worked out fantastic. Personal and artwise!
